bigger disks and calipers for tdi

i have a 02 leon tdi 90 i am not sure what size disks i have on but the caliper is close to my 15inch wheels i have 17's on now so bigger is going to look better but is bigger going to stop my car better????

can i fit disks and calipers of a FR or CUPRA or another VAG car which are going to be better?

Bigger discs and calipers will stop you better. I don`t know anything about your brakes and hubs but i would guess the best thing you could do is get a Audi TT 312mm set up which are really cheap on ebay and fit a set of hubs from a PD130/160 as i guess your brake calipers and hubs are joined in one lump.

thanks but i dont fancy chageing the hubs to much work i will look into what my brakes look like and get back to you thanks

i ahve been on vagcat.com and the brakes are like you say the fs III are part of the hub i dont think iwill be changeing them right away but if i change my shocks or get the car lowered i might save the cash and get it done while the shockers are out of the hub, never mind wil just have to slow down more gentle or just cruse about at low speed
