i was having trouble with my ibiza;s boost early in the week wen it was only boosting 10-12psi instead of around 18psi. It was put on a VAG-COM and found that it was mostley my MAF sensor that was toasted and not working properly(as i found it was a comman fault) :( and so i ordered a new part.
after fitting the new part disconnecting the battery for a while, there was absoulely no boost, 1-2psi if any, also i have the APR sofwear on my car and the cruise control button than operates it wil not ingage the software but the cruise control will work, this all was working until the maf sensor was fitted today. I then had it on the VAG-COM today and i was told it looked like it was in limp mode by philw. He will be posting the fault codes and the VAG-COM readout when he gets back. I have tried unpluging the maf sensor to see if it will run better but it is exactly the same. [:@]

any help will be much apprieated thanks

Did you have APR put on?
Lockout stops anybody messing with the settings through the cruise switch and gives the appearance that no code is accessible through the cruise
You have to input your 4 digit pin to unlock the ECU

you enter the code using the cruise stalk, but you need to know what it is.

most are the same though, 1,2,3,4 I think (so kinda pointless) but it's worth seeing if it's written on any of the receipts you might have got when you bought the car

Hi mate, I chose my own pin code as part of the anti-theft
You're best of speaking to awesome, or the previous owner, as to any programs that have been put on the car
I know when I had my battery off recently it went into lockout mode
If the previous owner had cruise installed, it makes sense that he had different programs put on

As I've said before, just ask them they are APR experts, not sure they'll know the pin though if there is one , but they should be able to reset it.
