Best value T.I.P

Hi all. I've been searching like mad. Trying to find out the best value TIP. From reading up my understanding is that THS do one for around £80 and Forge do one for around £130. Are there any other reputable makers that i should consider before taking the plunge?

Also I looked at THS's website and the only TIP's that they have listed for an LC are pre 2000. Mine is a 52 plate LC engine code AUQ. Do they actually do an application that will fit my LC?

Also, I've blown one of the breather hoses under the engine cover, and from what i've been told its one of the most common ones to go. Where can i get a hold of some decent value for money upgraded silicone ones and how much will they roughly cost? I vaguely remember seeing something about Awesome doing some but cannot remember prices.

Cheers in advance

Edit: Just found the price for the Awesome hoses in their section.

samco do tips, around the same price as forge aswell.

ths has good reviews, i have samco but got it used for 50quid!

breather hoses, is it the crankshaft breather?

if so theres a guide on here for that, ive recently done it, i got the hoses and tpiece from the bay, came in at around 20 quid. have some spare aswell.

awesome on is okay but pricey for what it is, all you pay for is the sticker on the top.

It is indeed the crankshaft breather! Good guess. Have you got a link for the seller of the hoses that you used on the bay?

get a THS tip if i were you, for the extra you can get one people have used and trust. ebay ones arnt probably too bad but for the extra few quid if you email ths and say your a forum member may get discount and they are a good tryed and tested brand. same as forge but just up to you if you want to spent the extra, forge customer service is good tho but got to say havnt had a problem with either company.

Mines a 02 Cupra also with the AUQ one, I'm using the Forge one.........pain in the arse to fit but seems to work a treat :D

The forge ones are cheaper on ebay then from Forge.

Thanks very much for the info guys. Damian you have PM'd.

Bit off topic but has anyone fitted a new PCR pipe and does it make much of a difference? The current OEM one looks very restrictive!

Cheers for the tip Adam. Is an uprated one much of an improvement over the standard then?

To be honest I'm not sure as I fitted my TIP and PCR pipe and panel filter all at the same time..it does feel more responsive but I'm not sure what made the difference.

I'm getting rid of it soon as I'm planning a FMIC and I'm routing half the piping to other side so it doesn't touch my new wheels.
