Live in North Essex/Suffolk border.
I’m after a replacement turbo for my other halves 1.6 Tdi SE, been told the current one is seized and had a second opinion. going to be selling the car once it’s repaired but also don’t want to but a dodgy one on as wouldn’t want anyone else to buy the car and have trouble shortly after buying.
Looked at Essex Turbo’s in Witham who say a recon. 1 yr warranty around £450 and 2 year warranty around £540.
Other option is to possibly get one from a breakers but you just don’t know what you are getting, bearing in mind I’m looking at paying for 5 to 6 hours labour to change then can’t afford to have one put on only to find its dodgy!!
Any advice appreciated.
