or work it out for yourself @ http://www.letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp

Good luck! Pretty accurate figures from this though!

i think you missed the point mate!

I'm sure that all RR operators believe the results they generate are honest. However if they aren't experienced with VAG 1.8T's or their equipment is out of calibration/not suitable for high torque fwd cars then their results might be a little pointless.

No as they cant calculate flywheel figures.

JBS and jabba's new set of rollers are definitely the best for testing our cars!

yeah but not saying jabba would do this but there are companies out there that would make their chip/remap look better than others so as Revo what would the best place be

So you're saying if you rocked up to a RR with REVO but the operator was a distributor for another map, he'd deliberatly give you a low result then try and sell you his map?

I've heard people complain about low/high results and inexperienced operators but never anyone deliberately giving low results. I have heard of deliberatly high results by braking on the coast-down to bump up the transmission losses to give a higher reading from the flywheel...

Where is the best place to go to get an honest and true power output for your car

I'm not sure there is such a thing.

Too many variables from weather conditions, ability of the operator, the equipment itself etc etc

Try going to an SCN rolling road day, go for the craic and to see some nice cars and meet nice people.............Keep the printout as a souvineer

I wouldn`t go to either of them if you want a "true" figure if there is such a thing. Personally i would go to TDI Powertuning. You just cannot beat a hub dyno.

you get a figure which does'nt relate to anyones then..

power at the hub...

lol

not knocking the kit as I like em myself, but its yet another "different" figure.

If you're looking at modding a car - which it looks like you are, then best thing to do is take it to a decent RR when standard and every mod you make, get it retested at the same place. It's the only way to be sure of know what differences mods are mkaing to power/torque.

If you want just a good RR specialist I'd recommend SCA in Norwich (JFGI). The main guy there, Steve I think, has his own 450Bhp S13 200sx and has it on the rollers everyday. So he really knows his stuff about the finer elements...
