Best option for Leon FR CR. Remap or chip?

I'm in the process of getting the new Leon FR CR Tdi. I've looked around and found a few companies that can remap the engine and get it to around 207bhp. I've also ssen loads of add on chips (Most self fit) that also seem to offer the same sort of performace. I wondering what is the best option for me and who should I go to for the remap or chip?

Any advice would be welcome as I'm a bit of noob :(

Just for your info, I got my Leon PD Fr 170 remapped last week by a place ANGEL TUNNING which now produces 204BHP and 316lb\ft torque.

Defo get the remap as it will impress you for a diesel..:)

Thanks for the above :)

We were the first UK tuner to offer software for the 170PD engine. Power is increased to approx 205 - 210hp and 325lbs/ft torque.

During December we are offering this for £280.00 all in including dyno power runs before and after :)

Cheers for the advice guys, it really is nice to get advice from people who know.

I've been struggling to find companies that do the new CR engine which is why I looked at the stand alone units. P-Torque sound good so guys I'll have to give you a bell and see if you can sort me out. I'm also interested in the units where multiple maps can be placed on one unit and changed at will. Celtic tuning call it the eMotion. Just wondering if you do anything similar?

Do you know anyone who has had the remap done on the new CR engine and if so how does it compare to the old one?

Hi, again, not to brag, but we released CR software first too

The switch units can be offered, but they don't support the EDC17 CR models.

What's it like?

Do you suffer any torque steer or any other negatives from it. My car finally arrives on 1st March so will be looking to have it done very soon. :D

Sounds like I'll be giving Ptorque a call very soon.

What's the cost of the remap at the moment?
