Hi all,

Bit of a silly thing but boys will be boys, I have a mate who's got a Saxo VTS thats the 1.6 16v model and its only barely modded with lowered and an exhaust system and everytime i race it it pisses on me, I have the 2.0 16v Cupra Sport ABF. Any ideas of the best route to take on my ibiza to beat the bugger and wipe that smug grin off his face lol?

Cheers guys.
Dave

save weight to be honest, the VTS's are quite quick, as they are light
other things are decat, as the torque is high up (unlike the 8v) so it won't affect low down power

more expensive ways are cams, or throttle bodies, supercharger
have a look at dinky_dave's thread, or f2_stu's threads, they both (well dave soon will too) have throttle bodies + cams + other goodies

Just sit back and wait for the saxo to rot away then offer your mate a lift.

if ya racing on a decent size track you should get the legs on it overall, if ya racing it on the streets then grow up

Both the Vts's and valvers do 0-60 in the same time.

I never really had a problem with vts's or vtr's in my time with the valver....vts's just take a little longer to pull away from.

I hate to say it but the vts's are quick little buggers and if its lowered with decent rubber then it will be quick round corners to.

Decat would be a start. There is no chip on the market that will give you instance power so scrub that..Have a play with a cone or the air box.

Other than that stop racing on the streets, your going to kill someone.
