Ive recently purchased a Leon Cupra but the backbox is blowing (standard twin pipe box) and the mid section isnt far behind it.

I want to fit a CAT back for now, there is a couple of stainless systems on ebay for around £250 posted with the 6x4 oval (which i want, dont want twin pipes) the 2 brands on there are COBRA and SCORPION brands? Are either any good? If not which brand would you recommend?

Also do i want resonated or non resonated? I know non resonated has no centre box thus being louder, but i want to know which sounds better, i dont want it to be raspy or anything.

Thanks

I have a milltek cat back, resonated and it gives a beautiful pur instead of a raspy sound, also it's not too loud but loud enough to hear if you get me. I love it.

Thanks, i was thinking of going de-cat non resonated, do you think i should go resonated then?

Where is good to buy exhausts from other than ebay?

Thanks

their is not a huge difference between the 2 tbh the non resonated is a bit louder but not massive and in my opinion the more straight through the exhaust the better it will perform so thats why i bought a non res race tube for £40 delivered and then i got a de-restricted backbox for £40 delivered again. this is a oval 3"x5" design and then just needed a pipe made to go over the axel and i bought a lengthof stainless 2.5" and it cost me £20 delivered and a friend bent it for me but i would allow £20 or so for someone to do this for you. and about £10 on exhaust clamps.
basically for less than £150 you can get a cat back exhaust and for the extra £100 tou can get a 3" downpipe and de-cat which will make a massive difference to the powerband.
if your handy with tools yourself and can fit it then for £250-£300 max you can get a turbo back exhaust.

Theres a scorpian stainless steel de cat and downpipe (from turbo) so 2 bits - £100

Then theres the cat back non res scorpian system for £250

I dont mind spending the money, i just dont want it to be raspy i took the midsection out of my old V6 vauxhall i had and that had a backbox on it and it sounded sweet before, deep and burbly, without the midbox it just rasped and sounded like a 1200 cc corsa :( Id just hate to spend that money to find out im not happy with the results, im not fussed on loudness i just dont want it raspy lol
