Becoming more subtle...

Anyone done it??

I have an Ibiza FR TDi, and I'm starting to make it look as standard as possible.

Seem to be a lot of young lads round here who see the sportier models and get as close to the back bumper as possible. To be honest, it's not just them. The older generations do it also!

I've made a few changes so far, and intend to finish it asap!!

I'll get some pics up, but it's a pre-facelift model, now without 'TDi' on the back, and the 'FR' logos on the doors (Thanks for the dental floss and warm water tip! Worked a treat...)

I spoke to my local dealers today to ask about black plastic mirror covers to swap out the silver ones, and I'm also considering changing my wheels for some less aggressive looking rims.

I guess this might be slightly hypocritical given that I'm off to see Will at p-torque next week for my stage 1...

I debadged mine and to be honest I'd remove all the badges it looks much more pleasing.
Anyway I know the feeling, I'm a youngun at 21 myself but having Saxo's up my tailpipe is infuriating.

They see the tint's and the debadge and they think I want to race.
Obviously they dont stand a chance but your not going to get me to speed through my village!

I'd leave the wheels standard to be honest mate.
I think by debading tho your looking more for people wanting to race you even more!

My sister has a 1.4, so I'm just going off that really...

When I say de-bebadged, it still says Seat and Ibiza on the back!

I'm looking for a set of 16"s to match thanks. Also, I think I can probably sell my FR wheels for more than it'd cos me for a set of more subtle wheels...

I saw a 1.2 SX on the motorway this morning, and the only differences after the said changes would be taillights and exhaust, and obviosuly an SX badge. I'm not gonna do these bits though.

I don't like the silver mirrors anyway...

It looks lower than an FR, but it quicker than standard one...

I bypassed the need for subtle exterior changes.I bought a 130 Sport.Even the exhaust is hidden away.Still.It's red and it's got 16" wheels and it's an Ibiza,so some divs still want to race me.

question, the silver mirrors, are they plastic ones spraypainted in silver, or real aluminum ones?

thinking about changing mine...but if it's plastic i'll pass on that mod
