Becker Indianapolis

I am thinking of replacing my head unit with a Becker Indianapolis. I have seen them selling for £399.

Does anyone have any experience of using these with an IPOD.

My current head unit (Pioneer) controls my IPOD, which is in the glovebox and out of site.

I would like to setup a similar arrangement with the Becker unit if possible.

I also have another couple of questions

1) Do you need to by any extra cables to get a RCA (phono) Sub output
2) Does it have a LPF/HPF (and can you alter the cut-off on the Sub output)
3) Do you know where I could get said IPOD adapter for the unit.

My reason for change is that I currently use my PDA with Co-Pilot and its a bit big and bulky. it's also a pain if I forget and let the PDA battery go dead!

I would like to change for an all in one unit, but don't want to miss out on the IPOD and good sound quality that my Pioneer gives me (even if it isn't the best looking unit in the world!)

Thanks
Dae

Ive had a new Becker Mexico Pro for a few weeks now.

Caraudiodirect.co.uk had just got some Ipod-Becker leads in for about £69, ordered mine yesterday it arrived first thing this morning.

Works perfectly with Ipod, very quick. Charges it and powers it on and off. Hidden my ipod isomewhere in the dash, where no one would think of looking, but will take me a few seconds to get out.

I took the plunge and went for the unit. The answers to my questions are below:-

1) Do you need to by any extra cables to get a RCA (phono) Sub output - YES - MINI ISO about £15
2) Does it have a LPF/HPF (and can you alter the cut-off on the Sub output) NO
3) Do you know where I could get said IPOD adapter for the unit. - EBAY!

VERY impressed with the unit. Sat Nav is ace! Only issue is the IPOD adapter. With my Pioneer I could choose a Genre, e.g. POP, and then move on to album/artist. It would then show only albums/artists of the selected genre - like an advanced filter. The Becker unit can't do that. You search by artist or genre or album. One or the other!

Other than that I would recommend the unit.
