This is my first post here, let me know if I break any rules I don’t know about.
I wanted to install RGB footwell lights in my pre-facelift Leon mk3 (i think it’s pre-facelift as it’s from January 2017) and read that before any coding and stuff i need to have a compatible BCM.
I have no idea if any VAG 5q0937084xx BCM that has that LIN bus pin would work or if some particular variant needs to be fitted. Would this one work?

It seems it has that pin, as shown here.
That one BCM seems to have a reasonable price, the CG shown on the site is 150€+.
Also, would I be able to code the thing with Car Scanner ELM327 OBD2 app? I have an elm327 device that i already used to code in Carplay and will use in a few days for enable the reverse camera.
i’ve seen many coding things to do and people always talk about obdeleven, so I’m not sure. I’m pretty new to this stuff.
