Hi there,

I'm in need of a new battery and was wondering if any of you can let me know the correct size, Euro car parts say 027 and halfords say 096...

Also does anyone have any good recommendations for batteries

Many thanks,

Dan

My car has a 096 battery, I'm sure it will fit your car too. The difference is that the 096 battery has more CCA
The following chart should help display the differences: http://www.puretyre.co.uk/car-battery-specification-chart/

I replaced my Exide battery, which lasted over 6 years with a Bosch S5 which has a 5 year guarantee. ECP were much cheaper that Halfrauds and surprisingly the ECP eBay outlet was cheaper than their own ECP website.

ive recently replaced the FR battery with a Bosch S5 too, the original battery had quite a high mA/h rating if i remember correctly which is why i went for the S5. The Bosch battery was a bit smaller in size but fit and secured well to the space. you get a few error lights on the dash once battery has swapped but they disappear after driving around for a bit...phew!
