probably took so long with it being your final 3 points and court dates to be booked for your reprimand.
Still sh1t tho' , feel for you big time.
Gonna get worse too according to the papers today.
From April 2007 Gatso 's etc no longer will be painted yellow and can be placed anywhere they see fit to catch the speeding motorist, not just accident blackspots.
They can also be placed where you can't see them or camouflaged into the surrounding environment.

Thats crap, how can they be safety camera's if you cant see them!!

Suppose people will probably damage more of them if they are like that!

More damage than throwing beans and chips at them and sticking slices of pizza to the camera section, while drunk on the way home! LOL

Cheers for all the support fella's,much appreciated!!
Definitly gonna invest in a road angel or something of the same type, any of you lot recommend a good quality one?????

I suppose it could of been worse,12 months or longer would have been a bleeding nitemare.

funny thing is,when i was about 17/18 i used to be a right little boy racer, flooring it everywhere....never got any points at all!!!

Soon as i get a nice decent motor, and enjoy the power on a safe empty motorway....i get caught everytime

Something Clarkson said on top gear is a good point...why are the legal stopping distances the same for cars with such difference as a 1984 ford fiesta and a brand new aston martin???
Somehow i think if both cars were travelling at 60...one would stop rather sooner than the other ;)

I had a ban last year for doing 110mph 2am on a Sunday morning on a 4 lane motorway only to be nabbed by a unmarked Skoda Octaria (sp?)

Took 6 months to take me to court which then i got a 28day ban and £350 fine.

After that insurance went up £800 :O

Sorry to hear bout that mate.
i had a years ban in the year 2004. Just one week after the ban was served i was given a further 3 months. Bringing it up to 15 months.
the best times of my ban was driving to the continent. i got a mate to drive me to Dover and then that was it.
i felt like a trapped bird that had been liberated. coz 1). i could drive once more again and 2). i racked up 10000 miles without breaking the law and 3). i went to Hamburg via Stuttgart.
Now hows that.

My ban was brought about by overzealous bast@rds of traffic police.
My loyalty is not to traffic policemen but to safety of the life of others myself and the game.

sell it, mk3 cupra's are heading for a bit of a price crash ove rht enext year, so sell it now and get your money back and then when you come to repurchase in 6 months time should be able to get a better example for same or maybe less cash.

6 months is harsh, but i supose it serves as atimely remindr to us all that driving is a privelage not a right!

Sorry to here that mate, i would definately recomend a road angel as added protection for when you get the licence back. I thought that they only had about 14 days to send the NIP out to you otherwise it wasn't vallid or something.

Ive recently purchased a snooper, the good side of a back seat driver. Tells me in advance of gatso's, radar and others. Would highly recommend it to everyone.

Have been caught a few times in strange places and its saved me from getting a ticket.
