I had a similar thing happen to mine recently, turned out a plug hard worked loose or hadn't been tightened and was blowing the coilpack off the plug when on boost, this was ok at low boost. Try checking the plugs first or checking to see if all the coilpacks are on the plugs properly. If everything is tight and the coilpacks are pushed down hard then i guess one of them is dead or dying.

hi lee thanks for advice i just done the checks you said all the plugs are tight and coil packs are correctly fit so one of them must be on its way out but how can you tell wich one it is and how much do they cost

Its a coilpack failing. Because its not failed you can't tell which it is. Replace them all anyway, once 1 goes the others seem to follow. About 80-90 quid for all four from Euro Car Parts or GSF...............
