Hi All,
Picked up my Cupra 290 back on 1st August so I’ve been a bit slow posting my intro to the forum. My Cupra replaced a ‘mint’ BMW 140i which I’d owned for four years. I wanted to get back into a VAG hot hatch, having previously owned an Audi S3 (8V) and MK2, 5, 6 GTi’s. I was actually looking for a MK7.5 GTi but gave up looking after being disappointed by the interior ‘wear’ on virtually every example I went to see at VW. In the end common sense prevailed and thanks to some wise words from my brother (G60STU - who’s got a platinum grey Mk1 Cupra) I plumped for a 2020 Cupra 290. It’s a ‘base’ model but the condition was spot on and it drove nicely 🙂 I plan to keep the car standard for now……with maybe a stage 1 remap and exhaust in the future 😉

Anyway, enough ramblings from me, I hope to contribute to the forum and hopefully meet some of you at a future event.

Exhaust tips n alloys look very clean 👌🏼 Was this from a Cupra dealer?
Seat Reading……..my local main dealer.

I’ve applied a ceramic paint protection coating and the alloys will get protected with some Poorboys wheel sealant before the winter weather kicks in.
