Hey all - never been a big poster, but some of you may recall I had a yellow Seat Leon Cupra (1st car in UK to have the now common Inovit Spin alloys!!)

Well, i wrote it off in October (day of my brothers wedding!!), and have now finalised the order of my new car - it arrives on 1st march with a 08 plate

Not sure how to upload pics, but my pride & joy will look EXACTLY like this:

New Civic Type R GT in Milano Red, with the 19" Rage upgraded alloys:D

What do you all think??

Had a serious think over the new Cupra as i have a VERY soft spot for SEAT's, but IMO it just dosent press the right buttons - dosent stand out from any normal leon, not aggressive looking at all, dash looks a bit tacky n cheap and Top Gear placed it at 27th outta 30 in best hot hatches of 2007!!!:-o

Cheers fellow Scots:clap: - You will probably see me cruising around Glasgow / Edinburgh a lot, so geez a flash wenever you see me - as I still look out for SEAT 24/7 (like i said, got a soft spot for em...)

I thought everyone on here would slate it as turbo lovers normally cant stand vtec's!

Im a big turbo fan myself, but i must admit - the new Type R is a beast, regardless of what Mr Clarkston thinks (cant stand people whoworship the ground he walks on), every other magazine and review has highly praised it!

Even Top Gear's own magazine rated it top out of 30 in "Best Hot Hatch 2007", so Clarkston is alone in his opinion if you ask me

Looks good, Honda's are brilliant cars and fair shift too.

But I like torque, and if you like torque then you won't want a vtec!

I read evo, I don't think they rated it too highly. In fact they favoured the new cupra over the new ctr. That said, I like them. :D

New cupra, hmmm - the power and torque did tempt me, and the looks aint too bad - its just the interior - dash looks very tacky IMO

Looked at Astra VXR, Focus ST, Golf Gti etc - but I just thought Type R had the best package overall

This is a discussion forum - not everyone can like the same thing, otherwise the world would be a boring place

I LOVE it - thats what maters

i wouldnt buy one after seeing that top gear review on it, as i drove a older shape one and didnt think to much of that, and they reckon the older ctr is a better all round car, nice looking car though

Looks great. very nice.

The only thing that stopped me changing my LC for a CTR before was the lack of torque.... if they built one with a 2L turbo lump i'd buy it in a heartbeat!

still looks stunning though!

Enjoy it! :funk:
