Av MPG 1.4 petrol

hiya, i have a 57 plate 1.4 ibiza formula sport (100bhp), just wondereing what the av mpg people are getting on their 1.4's be them the 85bhp of 100bhp editions

Must be mainly motorways right as I usually average about 26-28mpg. about 16mpg if im being ruthless and 40 when economical.

My daily commute is 12 miles on the motorway, 2 A roads (60mph) and approx 4 round town. thats both ways.

and will return 42, with a steady 80.

Was in germany and sat at approx 118mph (legal at the moment but not for long) for 15 miles and still returned 25MPG at that point, for the jorney which was 60 miles returned 38MPG.

Depends how heavy your right foot is.

There is no way that you can get 400 miles from a full tank of petrol. I have a 1.4 DAB (100BHP) and the maximum you get from a full tank is 300 to 320 miles.

buy a PD100, im averaging 48mpg on most trips costing me less than 10p a mile!.

I have the 100BHP, and my tank gives me 350-380, have once got 400 miles, it is possible.

It will depend on what you class as a full tank. From empty, pump clicks off around 38 litres for me but I then vent to around 50 litres!

My old 20VT used to average 300 miles unvented and once on a long journey got 380!

Vented tank on FR TDi gets me around 500 miles with mix of driving.

I think I would have to agree cause a full tank in my works van which is a 1.3 diesel will see me get about 400 miles.

i used to get 250-300 out of my old 1.4 per tank lol pd130's are better mine is still being run in and doing 400 per tank... lol

9 gallon tank in the Ibiza. I have averaged 42mpg and I do a variety of roads and average 300 miles a week as part of my job. I have only achieved 340 miles from the tank. Like most people say depends on venting. Oh and got a 56 plate 1.4 DAB 100ps/bhp

same here, i ahvent red lighted it yet but i get about 280 till i choose to fill up
