auxillary pump

does anyone know if the recirculating pump situated on the top of the rad can be found on any other types of cars for example volkswagens, trouble getting a hold of one, also need to know what the switch on the side of the power steering pump does mine has snapped and i have put it back together but cant tell if i fixed it or not as i dont know what it does need a bit of techie help here

as for the secondary water pump dont worry mate mine has not worked from day one as long as you unplug it it wont melt your fuse on the top of your battery dont know about the other problem

Audi TT, S3 etc have the pump.

And it it kinda vital for your turbo cooling post engine shut off so i wouldn't disconnect it.

i allways let my car cool down before i shut off skylines evos dont have this function and they seem all right ive never had a problem with mine since day one of ownership

Then you are doing the right thing by cooling it down, but not everyone thinks like you do.
