Update on my situation:
SEAT literature is very confusing/misleading - "offers brochure" states that Ibiza 1.9TDI Sport is available with a free DAB radio worth £250 - no mention of DAB special edition.
OK, so I should have equipped myself with all the details, but dealer did not inform me of DAB special edition. Consequently, I placed an order for a 1.9 TDI Sport with a free DAB radio, expecting 1.9 TDI Sport trim (steering wheel mounted audio controls and AUX in by hand brake) and a nice Blaupunkt DAB unit. Turns out, I was supplied a DAB special edition hence no steering wheel mounted audio controls and AUX in by hand brake!!
After much wrankling with dealer and SEAT UK, they have finally capitulated and agreed I was supplied the wrong vehicle from that ordered.
Result, SEAT have agreed to fit Blaupunkt ipod connector in glovebox and pay compensation of £250 for lack of steering wheel controls.
I am awaiting dealer confirming delivery of part for installation. If all goes to plan, I think I've done pretty well - a nice shiney Emocion red 1.9 TDI DAB with ipod connector, and £250 in my pocket. If it goes tits up, I'll shall be naming and shaming!!
So, be warned - just because you order from a SEAT approved dealer, it doesn't mean they know or understand the full product range!
