Car is an 03 LCR, stock aura HU.

I've also got a Creative Labs Vision:M mp3 player that I want to connect to it.
I'm aware of the connects2 box and I actually have a very similar device here for an audi, its made by DPX Technology (US based).

The DPX box has a lead thats got its plug one end and a round 13 pin connector which is the audi autochanger connection. My Leon of course is different, its got a flat twelve pin plug, arranged in two rows of 6.

As I was given the DPX box I want to make a lead that converts my plug to the DPX box, so does anyone know which colour wire does what on the Leon wiring ? hopefully I can match that up with what the DPX box has and get it working.

Thanks!

Would you know if this would work with a Creative Zen Extra??? Just that this is what i have but do not know of anyone yet who makes adaptors specifically for Creatives? Cheers

Yeah it will work with any music source that you've got.
DPX Technology also appear to be known as PIE (Precision Interface Electronics)
This is the audi box I've got : http://www.pie.net/index-2-details.cfm?recordID=AUD-AUX

As you can see its got a set of phono plugs, these are its inputs, all you do is get a headphone plug to phono plug lead (maplins do em), plug it into the headphone socket on your player, unplug your multichanger behind the dash and plug that little lead in that you can see in the picture on the PIE site.

My problem is that the lead supplied with the audi version is wrong from my leon. I either need to figure out what the pins on the leon plug do, and then build a cable that converts the leon plug to the audi one or get the right lead for my car ( its the same as a VW one from looking at the PIE site, see here - http://www.pie.net/index-2-details.cfm?recordID=VW-AUX

In case you are wondering the stock head units need to "see" the autochanger, if it doesn't "see" anything it wont let you press the "CD" button. The little box has some gizmos inside that fool the head unit into thinking there is a changer there.. you can obviously control volume from your head unit but will not be able to change channels etc, you need to do that from your player.

Connects2 do a similar box www.connects2.com, go to aux adapters and see if your car is listed.
I don't know what plug your changer will have, you'll need to look.
