So does the sport come with the new-style bumper aswell?

Also, is that a FMIC I can see in the picture?

The 1.4 Reference got a good writeup in the Daily Record today.

Why do the motoring press call it dated? I can't see anything dated about it. Still a very fresh shape, different from the current trend of Peugeot 307-lookalikes.

I agree with the "look" to me it isnt dated either! But alot of cars are going 307 like due to safety of random passers by!?

There is a brief review of the facelifted Ibiza on the Auto Express site.

Apparently it's looking a bit dated now and, sadly, they still refer to the hard plastics but I can definitely see a bootlight in the photos so it's not all bad news.:D

There's no plastic and foam engine cover on the car in the picture, wonder if that's just an anomaly with the press car or whether pennies are being pinched to fund the lower prices?

What exactly has changed with the rear lights, they look the same to me

Also, notice the twin-pipe exhaust ? Wonder if that's standard or they just fitted it to the demo car.

To me, it looks like the makevoer consists of.....front and rear bumpers, a central "I B I Z A" badge at the rear...and that's about it. Or have I missed something ?

I must admit the rear lights look the same to me too.

The full details are here:
http://media.seat.com/en/view_object.html?obj=1352,1355,c,14323

According to the blurb, "The new rear bumpers also stand out, and versions equipped with a 100 hp engine or greater now feature a visible tailpipe." According to the specifications tables, however, the FR has Sport equipment plus "Chromed twin tailpipes of the exhaust, visible." So it could be that the Sport gets twin tailpipes but they are not chromed.

There are a few changes in equipment from the previous models such as opening back windows, boot light and glovebox light but the biggest changes are to the FR.

In response to BeezerDiesel's point about the engine covers, did the previous 100 Sport model have this or was it just the 130s?

There are a few threads in the New Leon section saying that they don't put an engine cover on anymore.

I know that I didn't get one on my 1.6 that i got in October and there are plenty others that got either 1.9 or 2.0 TDI's and they didn't get one either.

I'd say it's more a penny pinching thing!

The interior looks like it has silver vent surrounds and knobs. A silver instrument binnacle and a silver radio surround panel. New gearstick as well. It says "the steering wheel sets it apart", yet it's exactly the same as before....
