okay guys, ive got twin active subs and today ive been trying to wire them

i bought an adapter so that they can plug straight into my alana headunit throught the mini iso..

so i wired up the remote cable, and the RCA's, did the earth cable into the wheel well.
i went to wire the power cable but it was not long enough as my old car was a saxo. so i went and bought another power cable, and cutt off a section to extend the existing one..

one it was all wired and set up i tried it and theres nothing atall going to the subs. no power lights or anything. ivre checked both fuses (amp and power lead) and they are both fine. anyone know what could be causing it not to work?

if the earth and live are fine then i guess the remote is not active, the amp won't come on without it

remove the earth from the wheel well, and check it's sparking against where you have fixed it... that will prove current from the battery

i used to set my remote up to a separate live on the ignition, and have a switch under the dash - which is good if you want to have a chilled drive, or kill your subs before parking up (and having them stolen)

remote won't be live until the hu is turned on...if there's no power i would check you haven't shorted the main fuse (the one between the battery and the amp)
