Audi A3 cluster on Leon mk1?

Hey , can i use Audi a3 dials on my Leon mk1 , did anyone change his mk1 dials?
if anyone did this mod to his car,pics will be appreciated

All this views and no reply!! in the first pic the (driver information system) seems to work,outside temp. , every thing?? and this is more difficult than just A3 dials..so i just want to know the a3 information system will fit and work in the leon,,if any one know,i want reply

I'm pretty sure the dials have to be matched to your ECU via the dealers for them to be in sync.

Also I have no idea whether the majority of leons would be plumbed in to be able to give you all the data the clocks need for the DIS as most leons do not have this feature. Does that make any sense?!

Yes you can do this. ECU matching can be done with vagcom. You will need to program your key with the SKC code though. I did this however the DIS had loads of pixels missing so I didnt bother with it in the end.

I have S3 clocks which I want to try and install. This is more tricky because the wiring is different for some reason.

What are you saying about the GOLF IV dials that i posted first,it seems to work perfectly and DIS worked perfectly too and looks cool if golf can fit i think audi can fit perfectly too,iam waiting for your help!!am dreaming of this mods(DIS mod is great)

The Golf ones are a different shape, not sure whether you can swap the case for the Leon one.

The A3 one fits in perfectly. I have an A3 1.8t cluster and an S3 cluster. The A3 one I had in the car and working but like I said the display was fudged so Ill probably chuck it.
The S3 ones are wired differently so I cant read them with vagcom unless I find someone with an S3 to stick them in!
Ive the S3 ones for almost a year, I even bought the grey plug from VW Germany (discontinued part now) Ive also got a wiring diagram so I will get round to doing it one day....

disappointed! but how come did the fis (dis) worked in the first pic?? the golf one it seems to work perfectly and i thought some guy on vwvortex fits the golf iv fis also and he said it worked perfectly even the door open signal!! another question (My wiper arm came without the two buttons that show the trip and weather and these stuff it just a wiper arm and the screen just TIME and OUTSIDE TEMP!! .. during FIS conversion should i get another wiper arm with the buttons?

It was just a faulty cluster, nowt to with the the wiring.

You will need a seperate loom for the wiper arm> trip computer. Even if you fit a TC dash and TC wiper arm it will not work! Only 2 wires and looks fairly easy for a DIY

You mean i have to get a trip computer or what?! i cant get it! and whats the DIY??or you mean i have to get a wiper arm and a tc dash and just two wires for the wiring?

foxy, did you have to make any other mods so that the DIS worked? Or did you literally swap the clocks and match it to the ECU?

Was it hard to connect them using VAG-COM?

The display seemed to work just fine, there are probably a couple of wires that need swapping or earthing out but from what I could see it was fine.
The instructions to mate an ECU to a dash cluster are on the Ross Tech website, its really simple. You must have your key programmed though. I can do this myself so I had no problems trying/chopping/changing stuff.

If I can find another A3 cluster for decent money Ill snap it up and try again.

Bit busy at the mo as me and the wife have just had a baby!

Ill get a pic of the S3 and A3 clusters if you like. Might be a while but Ill get round to doing it!

Oh, should mention the S3 needles are in my Leon as they are the hollow ones that glow with an LED behind them. So the Cupra needles are in the S3 cluster.

Hey SCN! no one here did this mod??no one put A3 cluster with fis in the LEON , i think it fits perfectly and the fis feature is great,iam dreaming to get one but i want to see anybody else did it (with pics)??

--And if its impossible to get cluster with fis and trip computer as i dont have one factory fitted.

can i use this one (in the pic), i think it hasnt a trip computer but i like the white dials and red pointer

Nup mate but iam still searching , but i saw alot of guys fitted GOLF MK4 and R32 clusters in their leon and the full fis is working perfectly but iam still searching if you can get any news plz inform me and if i get i will tell you as fast as i can
