arosa chugging

Hopefully some one may know whats up with the car.

I have a seat arosa se 1.4 1999 34k miles
The car starts fine and holds the revs but at stand by it runs rough/chugging .The last few days tho its started to cough rarly when driving.I did change the filter,fuel filter,,rotor arm/cap, as people said it maybe the problem but still the same.

Throttle body alignment is often the root of MANY causes.
Provided, of course, you dont have a duff HT pack or plug/lead.
See if you can find someone with Vag-com to look for DTCs.
Also, try disconnecting main battery for an hour.

Sounds like the pesky throttle body needs cleaning out. Common problem.
