Hi,

I have just (painfully) removed the armrest from my LCR.

Referring to this picture: http://www.cupra.net/Leon/Mein_Cupra/MAL/MAL_13.JPG

Look directly at the picture above, the left hole mounted on an existing bolt using a nut, whereas the right two holes seem to mount to the chassis using two bolts.

Can someone confirm to me that the left nut comes with the armrest kit, and the two bolts are original fitment to the car (this it what it looks like). I will probably sell this armrest and want to make sure I have taken off the right bolts to sell with the kit and kept the right bolts on the car.

The two normal nuts Im sure need to be put back on the blts on the car as if my memory is right dont they bolt the h-brake down, there should be a big nut with a screw coming out of one end, that goes with the kit, and the nuts go back on the car.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't realised that - seems to make sense.

b1nuzz,

The reason I have taken it out is that I've found when it is down it just seems too intrusive for gear changes, so it spends all it's time in the up position. Now that I have a toddler sat in the back of the car, my wife has to continually pick up toys on the floor and the arm rest just gets in the way:(. I know that people on the forum rave about this mod, but I've never been convinced by it.
I'm not sure whether to sell it (I don't know what its worth) and currently I've got the gaping hole in my centre console. A new centre console part will cost me £50-60 +VAT, so I'm tempted to just fit the armrest back when I eventually sell the car.
