Are mine recaro's??

Afternoon

I know this might sound stupid, but how do i know if my lcr's (03) seats are recaros??

All the newer ones have the R badge then recaro underneath. Mine just have the R badge on but look the same as the ones with recaro written on??

It does exactly what it says on the tin.

If it aint got Recaro written on it... they aint Recaro.

Other than the badge, there are subtle differences, I suppose the main one is the head rest recess on the Recaro's, not so on the standard ones.

Recaro's have lumbar adjustment, here is one of each side-by-side

There is a big difference believe me! Not too look at but the support and feel are much nicer with the recaro

We will agree to disagree, had the same Recaro's in my MK1V Golf GTi and std in the LCR, 50K miles in each and the Recaro's were no better IMO (except they were heated which was nice)

I found the Recaro's make the seating position a tad too high, even on the lowest setting.

I swaped me FR ones for golf recaros in my opinion 100 times better!

Some of the taller SCners also complained about lower back ache with the recaro's something about seat base width and not having enough leg room ...........OK fat @rses don't fit 'em

I have you know, I have a pert bottom, or so my wife says, but then she's biased

Got standard seats in my LCR and my mums got the Recaro's in her golf anniversary... if i could swap them over without her noticing i would
