Is this true??

ha.................wouldn't say they are the most popular choice (thankfully) but there are some real gems out there. Browse on the for sale section here, pistonheads, autotrader, compucars (which is where I found mine). I actually got mine from a Seat dealer, proper mint condition, owned by some old boy so I know the car had never seen the redline ;)

They are fairly rare cars i dont think anyone knows figures like the limited anniversary golfs though. Even harder when you just want one age. if ithe conditions good i would consider anything 225 onwards which i think is 2004 not like anything changed in between unlike the FR run offs

The dealer told me they were rare as well, then promptly got 2 more LCRs on the forecourt the following week!

I've called 3 seperate garages this AM to bid on 3 LCRs, all have sold, "just this morning."
nice red one on autotrader for 7.5k but MAIDSTONE is a fair punt from Lancashire..

How much would a service including cam-belt and waterpump cost for this motor??

Cheers

The dealer I bought mine from initially used the excuse "they're very rare but highly sought after" as his reasoning for not moving on the price to start with. Funny how he was ringing me later that week to see if he could do me a deal after all tho ;)

Since buying mine I've noticed at least 8 different ones around here (Aberdeen) so they're probably not as common as Golf GTIs or R32s, or even S3's but I wouldn't say they're rare the way good women are round here :p

Just round the corner.
There not rare in Loughborough (leicestershire), nearly everone around me has a LCR, not that I'm bitter.........Much.
There's alway a desent selection on Autotrader, just don't rush mate and have a good look.

I'm trying to get a dealer to carry out a cam-belt/water pump replacement on a four year old LCR.
The guy is adamant it only needs doing at 120k and that information is coming from SEAT.

Does this guy know his onions?? or NOT?

you should try and buy one in Ireland:p I have only seen 2 other LCR's in the past 3 years, they are as rare as rocking horse poop which suits me just fine, I had to import mine from the good old UK.
