Hi there, was just wondering if ya buy one of these second hand is there alot of programming and setup required or is it a matter of get it fitted and drive?? think i heard something about them having different drive modes???? :confused:

I would say not.

1) you have to fit it
2) it's not been stored in an ESD environment (therefore may not work)
3) unless you have the PIN, and cruise control you won't get it out of stock mode

If its is runnning in stock mode all the time obviously it is going to be of no benifit wat-so-ever? oh dear oh dear..

it depends what programs are on the ecu, if its just a map, and thats it, then yes you can change it, all you will need to do is change the immob code to work with your car,
but if he has had additional programs added or required a cruise stalk to operate/switch between maps then dont bother, wont work
