hello everyone. im slighty the newbie to seat at the minute.

anyway i bought these coils for my 1.8t fr ibiza mk4

AP Coilover Kit Seat Ibiza Mk4 6L 4/02->

got them fitted this morning, really really pleased with the front. but the back on the other hand..... might as well say it has hardly budged!!! now the car is sitting at a slant!!!

what options have i got to lower the back. (other than fat birds of course :p)

is there like coil clamps i can clamp to the springs and lower it even more.

i need something to get it lower, and of course safely!!

appreciate any help guys

regards,

marty aka -herc- ;)

i was on the phone to marc.W off here while the mechanic was fitting them. and he didnt think tht was safe. as it would wear away at the metal it should sit on and it would rattle he said???

the back is as low as it can go the mehcanic said :(

There are loads of people on here that have removed the adjuster cups and not had problems. Infact I've never heard of anyone having problems once they have been removed.

How low is it now?

I have V-Maxx coilovers and the rears are down as far as they will go and its more than low enough.

Yeh give them 2 weeks first, just make sure the adjusters on both sides are wound down all the way, and the springs are sat on them properly.

If after 2 weeks you want it lower just take them out. I've got AP Coilies on my Ibiza with the rear adjusters OUT. No problems at all, sits perfect :)

I think that the AP ones drop it by 80mm and the Vmaxx are 60mm (if not please correct me :D)

I'm very happy with them. I think the V-Maxx ones are a little softer than the AP's but I think they both give about the same drop.
