Just off the phone with a seat dealer, guy sounded like a rookie
said it might need an ECU update :blink: think he is full of ****

Call it 80miles bearly used it ..... and when i do go for it abit the petrol needle goes way down then slowly picks back up

On the trip computer it constantly jumps from .... i.e 130miles - 115 then back to 130 then up to 145 then all over the place :blink: but its not overheating ! so dont know were the excess fuel is going :blink:

What Leon Cupra is it, Mk1 or the new Mk2. If its a new Mk2, then some of the first new Cupra's which came to the UK in March/April this year do require an ECU check and update.

If it was supplied from the Factory in April and beyond then its likely it doesn't.

They also run quiet rich for the first 800-1000 miles regardless. Mine has got more powerful and a bit more economic since it passed the 1000 mile mark.

But if you wanted an economic car then you should of bought a diesel. ;)

Not really after economy lol ... just shocked watchin that petrol needle move about that much

its goin in next saturday mornin for its ECU update

its only done 30,898 miles
and the previous owner had it from new and he was in his 40z so doubt its been hammered
