I've managed to split the broken aux power plug on my power steering pump and solder new wires onto the connections. I now need to connect these wires to the rest of the original wiring but I don't know which colour wire goes to which connector!

Could someone pop out to their car and take a look, its the plug that connects into the top of the power steering pump (see pics below), need to know which side of the connector the red and which side the green wires connect to,

so I would guess on mine it would be red right, green left??

Must be shoddy wiring if your's has gone aswell. I split my plug with a knife then soldered on new wires, didn't take me long and looks stronger than standard.

I agree, been reading the other "how to" thread and bypassing the n249 looks very easy. I'd like to move it out of the way aswell so let me know how u get on mate.

Ive found a few wires that have snapped on the plugs, ordered a load of new plugs and pins to replace a few this weekend

perfect mate thanx a lot, your connector is sitting the opposite way to mine so as you look at mine the green one will be on the right.

Looks like the wiring is very suspect on theses then, get them checked guys

Yeh, I was going to say it's all well and been people saying what colours where the the connectors could be like mine and upside down. Hence why I got a picture as I was sure mine was the other way round!!
