Anyone had to wait on parts from Spain?

Pranged my back end in few weeks ago and its gone into the bodyshop for a new quarter panel and some bumper work. Was originally to be in 1 week then im told that they stripped it down and have found out there is a delay with the quarter panel from Seat spain, now it looks like im going to have no car for months as they couldnt even give me a date that it was due!! Stuck with a horrid Ka now and i wondered if anyone knows ho wlong these parts take?

good luck if its from spain, just got back from there on hols, they dont do anything quick pal.

best to keep ringing and bugging, if they dont sort it quick tell them youll make an official complaint..they dont like that and finger usually comes out of arse!

i spoke to the local seat dealer to me, about an exhaust and he mentioned then that it would have to go on a back order as they had to wait for parts from spain, and being on a back order they were never given any order dates ! When I complained, he also said that there was little they could do. he then told me a story that they had been waiting for 5 Aura radios that had been on back order since February ! and had no idea as to when he was going to get them....

I'd continue to bug them for the parts though bud !

when my car went in after the tree fell on it i had my car back within 3 weeks and from spain had to come roof bars, roof panel, rear quarter, spoiler the lot but that was 3 weeks from when it went in to the day i got it back finished

i worked for DHL and we had the volvo contract for parts distribution, you should wait NO MORE than three days (thats volvo form sweden to the uk)
