Has anyone gone for the current 30% discount available till the end of the month?? Or experience of this on the 170tdi?
I was going to wait a while before doing so as the cars only 3 months old,/2000 miles plus money is tight after xmas, but its a tempting offer
I am reasonably pleased with the performance, very smooth but it does lack the punch of the 130 ibiza I also have. Fuel economy is poor, I get 42 driving carefully, 35 driving at 80/90 on a journey in the leon, compared to 48 driven quickly to 60 driven carefully in the ibiza Probably because its much bigger/heavier but engine wise its not much bigger....

So anyone had custom code? or should I wait? I have read many reviews on different chips for this car but keep thinking that it maybe still early days for tuners on this model with the dpf problems. I don`t want to get any problems, so far no niggles like dpf lights and thats the way I want to keep it:confused: Warrenty also troubles me.....

Wait till you have some miles on the clock 2k is Very small, didn't chip mine till 10k. Had a few derating problems at continus high speed [it when the ecu senses cylinder temps getting too hot] but otherwise OK.

If your wanting it chipping and they are doing an offer i would go for it.
The 170 has been out a while now so there should not be any problems,I had my 140 tdi done at 5k and that gave it 198hp acording to my 6 dyno runs printout well worth every penny.

I had a CC remap done on my FR Tdi a couple of months ago at 5K miles and would certainly recommend it.

It makes a big difference to the way the car drives - much more urgent and massive motorway overtaking grunt - but didnt make any difference to the MPG. I didnt have any DPF problems before and haven't had any since.

The remap took the BHP upto 208 and Torque to 309 ftlb.

I have the 140, so yours went from 140 brake to nearly 200. How much quicker has it made it and whats the fuel economy like. When you come to sell the car would you take the chip off? if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for your chip?
