As above really? Don't want the faff of replacing a shark fin under the lining, it's just the long aerial may foul when I'm using the roof bars (yes, can take it off, but it's annoying)

Yeah, I'm just wondering if anyone has actually found one that is actually good. A lot have multiple threaded inserts so fitting would be the easy bit, it's how well they work that's the key.
I have sat nav and was pointed out yesterday that it might need to have something in a replacement to work that too, but someone might know if thats an issue as well...

You'll find the satnav aeriel is under the dashboard unless you have a heated (wired) windscreen where it's connected to the base of the roof aeriel (the black bit). As per the Ateca SSP.
The DAB and FM aeriel is in the windscreen. Assorted aeriels in different bits of the car. Likely only the mobile aeriel is on the roof if you haven't got a heated windscreen. The aeriel on the roof can have the other connections but not used. Will post the SSP image.
I had my rear one removed in a bit of old fashioned vandalism seven years back. Feral society. Probably like 30 years back in that neighbourhood the aeriel snapper returned. Probably like father, like son. Anyhow I just replaced it with an exact one, VAG parts, R11.
