EH!??! WHY!?!?

I've done 150,000 miles and mine runs like a dream.. it's just a bit smokey (minor) - I can't imagine you've done anything like that mileage, so why would you possibly want a rebuild? It's not a highly stressed Rover K-Series or an old ford engine....

Sounds like a flase economy mate. If an engine is serviced at regular intervals then there is not need to rebuild it, just because you dont wanty something to go wrong. Keep your money and put it torwards a decent service and mods!

If you have 'that' much cash why dont you get it rebuilt to a higher spec piston rods etc.. a whack a decent turbo setup on it.

Seems silly to me to have it either rebuilt with std internals or swap the engine if yours runs perfectly fine.

Couldnt agree more, you could get yourself a ko3hybrid for the price of an engine rebuild and have 280bhp or there abouts. I know what i'd spend my money on
