Anybody know the easiest way of getting to the back of the aura headunit

It doesn't look like the stereo slides out like most conventional stereos with the use of the two security tabs. I have no tabs so does the stereo come out a different way please? I'm sorting out my ipod connection so need to get to the rear of the headunit. Is there access through the glovebox aperture?

Its easy mate, get your self down to halfords and get some universal audi keys, they slot in the two slots on the bottom of the HU and release it. I think I have a pair somewhere I don't need, Send me a SAE if you want and they are yours.

Just use a bent up wire coat hanger, that's how i did mine. You can even create a handle using the hanger to make it easy to pull out!

Found two pieces of spring steel that did the job nicely. I asked the question as I didn't want to damage anything. Tim I will still send you a sae though as the temporary tabs wont last forever
