Anybody know the difference?

Have been looking for a stainless exhaust sysyem for my leon mk1 cupra and found a company that are selling a few magnex cat back with sports cat system for £499. Only thing is it says that it fits a 2002 leon 1.8 20vt and mine is a 2001 cupra. Is there a difference or would this system fit my car?

is yours a 20v turbo mate?

if it is then yes it will fit, same system....

the lcr system doesnt fit cos of the exhaust cutout etc.

Yes mine is the 1.8 20vt cupra. I thought it was the same but with it just saying that the system fitted 2002 onwards and mine is 2001 it just threw. I know there is a revised model but its just got the different styled bumpers i think.

afaik mate itll fit, the turbo ko3s is the same so the dp and cat will fit so i would say the rest will be fine.

Magnex went into administration earlier in the year... most places with remaining bankrupt stock will be selling these systems up to £200 cheaper than the price you've been quoted

Oops... just read your post again and realise the price includes the cat, so is actually pretty good!

Yes includes everything. I thought it was a good price. Anybody got one already? What they like? Not looking for loudness, just nice sound when when you press your foot into the sometimes damp carpet. lol.

Also what they like to fit. Been under car today and looks fairly straight forward.

if you are going to fit it ill give you one bit of advice from doing loads of exhuast on my driveway, soak all the bolts with wd40 the night before, and again befor you try and undo them. make sure you have a good quality, well fitting socket also. other than that its easy. oh a small wire brush to clean up the bolts also comes in handy.

If it's like the LCR one's then you might have to cut the old pipe infront of the back axel to get it over the axel.

Yeah think will need cutting, had look when i was under and the factory fitted exhaust looks like a one piece jobby from the cat back.
