any power increase?

Hi all

should be getting hold of a arl 150pd egr manifold very soon for my 110tdi as i will need this when i also put the 150 turbo on my car to get the best out of the new turbo, but a quick question is this, will putting the 150 manifold on my car give any increase in power with the standard 110 turbo as the 150 manifold is bigger

i would have thought so because as i am lead to believe the turbos on the 1.9pd engines are all about the same just the manifolds and other things are different and the engine will breathe better with the larger manifold wont be restricted on getting the gasses to the turbo

depends how"crapped-up" the present manifold is, otherwise I would guess marginal but keep us posted

If your talking about just the 150 EGR manifold while keeping the rest of the stock system i very much doudt any power increase will happen as even though the new bigger EGR can flow more air the rest of the air system will still only able to flow the same amount of air so no bhp gains.

I can see your point mate, what about having the pd130 sfs pipe from side mount to egr, 150 allard blank egr valve, and the 150 manifold, any gains there mate?

take a look at the forge website, new fmic kit they have just designed for the mk4 golf tdi will be released soon and that will be on my car

If your going to do it and you car source the parts then get the 150PD manifold, turbo and allards egr and get it done properly.

well hopefully credit card comes this week and ill be straight on the phone to forge for the new fmic, does anybody know if the leon crashbar is the exact same fitment as the mk4 golf?
