Im in exactly the same situation mate. i tried backin it with some super strong 3m tape but i really didnt think it was secure enuff! Recommed you just bite the bullet and take it to a bodyworks place.

Bodyworks place will just bond the spoiler to the boot with some tigerseal or other such sticking stuff.

Does the spoiler not have any holes for you to attach it to the boot other then the ones for the attachement to the glass?

There's no F in Quality..
'Silkaflex' will do the job..... very very strong silicone selaer/glue ;)

either that, or claim off the insurance for a new rear window with the holes arlready drilled....

or mark where the holes need to be, and take it to a glass place and ask them to drill it for you.......

if you're feeling brave get a glass/tile drill from B&Q, put masking tape over the spot where the holes need to go and put the drill on a slow speed

Had a debate with someone about this a while ago. We reckoned a strong sealer would would - as you say - silkaflex or the stuff made by Wurth or 3M for automotive refinishing. When I built my kit car I used it loads - great for sticking stuff on.

Like others say, get some silicon adhesive sealer. When I went to put on my spoiler on the old car, I had to chop off the 3 bolts, then apply the silicon sealer thingy (mine was clear/see through), and hold it in place with some masking tape. Leave overnight to dry and jobs a goodun. Had mine on my car for a year (before I sold it) and it held on superbly.
