any ideas

every so often, my traction control light comes on on my dash. just wondered if anyone has had this happen before or has any ideas

Im guessing this isnt when the traction control is cutting in??

lol mine does too but as above, generally over slippy surfaces when under reasonable acceleration, and the TC is kicking in lol

It comes on to tell you it's doing something. i.e. if you floor it in first and second gears and the wheels start to lose traction, it will kick in. Or if you put your foot down too much when going round a corner, it will kick in. The flashing light simply lets you know it's doing this.

i know all this, i have a fault as in when im "going steady" as we all do(nudge, nudge) the traction light comes on as it should, but just lately, even when i have been driving miss daisy. the light comes on(this isnt every day i may add) but when it does come on, it stays on through every gear, even when i pull up at the lights. it stays on untill i turn off the ignition, if i turn the ignition back on straight on, then the light has gone off.
so as you all now may have guessed, i have a fault. i think this relates to a CONTROL UNIT CONNECTION! but not sure, i need to get it on a VAGCOM or simular to be sure
