...apart from the Kenwood keg? The only thing that puts me off it is the price - can it be connected to any HU, or does it have to be a Kenwood?

I have an Ipod, but its in the wife's car  connected to an Alpine stereo.

So are there any other alternatives? All my music is currently on the PC...

Do you mean something like a phatbox that connects to a standard head unit?

20gb, looks like cd autochanger to the head unit. Can be bought off ebay for upwards of £150 plus duty.

Works well, I have one for my audi.

Yeah, never heard of those, though...

Do you have to set your mp3s up as playlists, or can you scroll by artist?

Why not buy another iPod and a Connects2 box (or similar)? Then you're not storing your files in loads of different places (I assume your music library is on a PC or Mac?)

Which branded Phatbox will work with standard Aurora Ibiza HU? Will your Audi one work in the Ibiza?

I don't know is the short answer.
Somebody on here has one for his Seat. I bought a volkswagen (I think) and on the menus it offers all the audi/volkswagen stereos that I am aware of, but I dont remember it offering Alana and so on from Seats.

Not much help I am afraid. Have you taken a look at their website/forums?

Lol just in the process of speaking to some German bloke off ebay!! His COD English is quite amusing ;) I shouldn't laugh - its better than my German

What he seems to be saying is that any EU Phatbox is fine, the US ones are slightly different line voltages or something...he recommends updating the firmware regardless.

to update the firmware is very easy - put it in the cradle, hit upgrade firmware and then it does it automatically when you connect it to the stereo it then takes around 5-10mins to update.
