mk4 golf/leon/octavia etc etc

edit: part Number 1j0411316D is the one replaced.this left or right hand side?

COOL. cheers stoney, looks like the LHS may be on its arse then, exact same symptons as when the RHS went.
R32 front arb is in the pipeline so i'm wondering if the links are different/better.

etos says for the r32 golf mk4 , there are 2 anti rol bars , 23mm and 21mm , tho it says 21mm and 19mm bushes ( im lost)
only mentions one set of drop links tho 1j0411315d and 316d

for the octavia it says there is a 23mm bar available along with a 19MM, and mentions the same part nums for the links -result

just double check that info but its something to work off

and now the fitting

is it just a case of whip off the wheel and undo 2 nuts and swap the old with the new?not got chance to get under it today with party preperations and my haynes is in shrewsbury with my mate.
last time i was under there it looked pretty straight forward.will i need to take the weight off the lower arm to get it off?just can't picture where it connects in my head, and the wife has the car .

cheers

little rubber bushes can pull out on the ARB end..
crappy things really.
heard FK do alternates for lowered cars.

finally the cars back, bill, just gave if full lock to have a look at it,the dampers were changed recently so would have to have been undone at the top at least,i'm thinking i could get at this with the wheel on.
will it be under any tension with it like this ,or shall i just get the wheel off?

if both wheels are at the same level then there should be no load on em. jack up one side of the car however and there would be.

you dont need to disconnect arb to fit dampers/springs
