I have just received a call from my Mapping guys www.e-maps.co.uk who mapped my LCR at the end of Jan06.

I had the common issue people have with the LCR going into Limp Mode when stone cold after a remap, see here http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=78653

The writer has been trying to find out more as to why this is caused on some but not all LCR's as the fix in the other thread is a safty feature of the ECU, he has managed to speak to an Audi Techy in Germany who has found the cause of this problem.

There is a 'valve' on a pipe that comes from the Crankcasing which gets blocked due to Carbon deposits and they have given me the part no

035 103 245 A

The german guys seem to replace/clean these and all is fine.

Can anyone check this part no and find out what valve this is?

This maybe the knowledge we have been looking for!:funk:

im pretty sure it was an error in the written code in the ECU about cold starts, it seems to be an error in part of the code written for the standard car that does not get altered when a car is remapped (ie. its inherent even in a remapped car)

Revo sorted this way back in 2003/04

I heard it can also be caused by an ECU config as well, car is set to run in limp when ambient temp or coolant temp is below a certain level only someone put the wrong value in the seat ecu's, doh!

ECU config seems to be the most common cause but I can well believe that valve will also do it
