Well i have searched but i cannot find anything on the subject.

basically i have a MK 3 ibiza which i have installed cupra suspension on. the ride height is still a little higher than i would like, and im not wanting to dump it as the car is used a lot and i do tend to have a car full of people once in a while.

so my question is, i have read lots about puting lowering springs on standard shocks and how is messes them up etc. is a 40mm drop really going to make that much of a difference to the shocks ?
im not going to buy a cheap set of springs they will be something decent.

unless there is another way i could get a little drop without upsetting the shocks i would be very interested as long as the ride and handlingis kept nice, as thats the whole reason why i did the mod in the first place, to stiffen up the susspension.

anyadvice would be great :)
Thanks

It would make the ride a whole lot worse than it is at the moment if you just changed the springs. Not worth it in my opinion. If you want it lower, then you have to pay a bit more.

Mine is on Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs at the moment.....the ride is good and the height is around 30mm lower than cupra suspension which sounds around about what you are looking for.

I'm going to be going for coilovers in the near future however as I'd like some control over the ride height. ££££ though.

thanks for your input dave. i dont have a lot of cash at the moment hence i purchased some used cupra shocks and springs from a member on here to replace my 1.4 setup. all i want is just a little lower on the front. the back is fine and i want to leave it be.
since the cupra suspension is meant for a 1.8t and mine is a 1.4 the front weight is a bit different so the front is riding a little higher than the back. so i want to lower the front down to be equal with the rear.

question is.... how can i do it!
