although they are the same, i have a Mk3 Beezer 1.8T, and i've not got a good answer on which oil to use, so far ive collected recommendations for 5w40, 0w30, 15w40, 10w40.

I mean there is a difference between 15w40 and 10w40, generally the car has 30k on it, just wandering what leon cupra/r owners use/recommend me to use, local stealer said 10w40 yet ive spotted this post about 1.8T passat lumps:

Ok not up to date, but interesting reading....

If not ill go for some professional advice and pop into the audi stealer in the week. ref the TT

Shell ultra 5w-40 fully synthetic (DON'T GO- 0W FAR TO THIN, BYPASSES TURBO SEALS ACCORDING TO TURBO SPECIALISTS- if you believe them!) stick with the manufacters viscositys etc, what ever you use! (if it helps, read so many articles in a month about oils, my brain fried with conflicting info) shell 5-40 for me, seems the safe route of meeting all the criterias

I run on Motul 15W50 Competition in mine.
Seems perfect to me.. 100% sheer stable oil, which on a turbo car is very important.
