Another Alarm problem

done a search for this but not come up with a definitive answer so .....

any idea on how to lock the car without enabling the alarm?
and not just disabling the motion sensors cos i have tried that.

my FR alarm has been going off, (only seems to be at night!!!), i was on holiday all of last week and came back to find my battery completely flat, couldnt do anything with the car and had to get a jump from my dads car. anyway im pretty sure it must be related.

another question, how long would the alarm go off for if it was ignored? it cant stay on til the battery dies surely?

i have got it booked into the dealer on monday but that leaves 5 nights that i face waking up to turn the alarm off or risk leaving it unlocked.

if the alarm cant be turned off the only thing i can think of is remove the fuse for it but i dont know if the same fuse is used for other functions.

cheers for any advice guys.

Had this problem with my FR as well. Think the way around it is to close all the doors except the passenger door then lock the doors with the lock/unlock button near the handbrake. You can then lock the passenger door by removing the rubber grommet in the end of the door which should expose a yellow slot - stick the key in there and turn it. Close the door and it should be locked with no alarm enabled. It's been a year since it happened to me but think that should cover it!

Had exactly the same with my dealer. The only solution they had was to turn off the interior light! Just keep on at them and they should sort it out.
