Altea Parts? same as Leon/Golf?

Hey all,

I have searched the net for an answer to this question but to no avial, best I found is that the Altea shares its chassis with the Golf so does this also mean Leon, Audi A3 etc etc.

Basically long story short I am going to look at an Altea tomorrow (1600 reference) thats had a knock on the front corner, from photos its going to need Hub, suspension leg and possibly steering rack, driveshaft (plus bonnet, wing, bumper and headlight but these bits are readily available).

Now Altea parts are still pretty scarce on the secondhand market, what other cars can I get these parts from?

Just trying to get prices in my head (secondhand and new) so I know roughly how much its all going to cost to repair when I view the car.

Any help mucho appreciated.

Hi Mark,

The altea is based on the Golf V platform as is the Golf Plus, New Jetta, Touran, New A3, New TT??, New Octavia, New Leon, Altea, New Toledo.
Almost all parts are interchangeable between models except of course for cosmetic parts. You should be able to source all the mechanical parts you need by looking at Golf V stuff. Take a look on www.eurocarparts.com and you can get an idea of price, unless of course you have an alternative source.

I have looked on Eurocarparts and they have absolutley nothing listed under the Altea apart from lights,

Will check out the Golf V,

You could drop a message to ebay seller "motorsinmotion-01909531537" who I have seen list parts for the Altea in the past
