Just wandering the middle button on my Altea remote the one that opens the boot, should it release the boot automaticly (slightly pop it open) or just release the lock. I've seen VW's boot actually open when the button is depreesed. Or is mine faulty. Cheers for any help.

It just unlocks the Boot after disabling the Alarm.
You have to open boot using the 'Big S' and when you shut it, it should re-arm the Alarm (and activate the dead locks which you can hear)

Cheers for that, two mates of mine one New Jetta owner one Passat owner have same generic VAG remote thiers opens the boot automaticly, maybe Seat saved money by not adding little gizmo which pops it open. Thanks again from a newbie Paul aka Yakk100.

No Probs. ;)

On the up side, my CMAX did the 'pop' open trick on the boot release. But if you forgot to actually open the boot fully because you got distracted, the auto-rearm would cut in after 45 seconds, and then the Alarm would go off as the boot was 'open'.
At least with the the Altea it just re-locks if the boot is not actually opend.
