just got sum 17" leaon fr alloys on my ibiza but on the front they seem to rub when i go over speed bumps on the front i have 215/40/17 on the front and 225/45/17 on the back but just having problems with the front??????

Is your car lowered at all?

Should really be 205/40 on the front but 215/40 is normally ok.

You also really need to sort the tyres out to a similar size front znd back, its going to mess up your ABS if you have it.

i did have 225 45 17 all round but had 215 40 17 put on the front the tyre bloke sugested them but still rub a lil bit, the feel prety close to the susspension

It wont damage it but can stop it working properly or worse make it work when you dont want it to for example.

Your rolling radius for the wheels is going to be quite different and your front wheels will be turning at a diferent speed to the backs.

Not to mention probably looks bizzare.

Stick with the standard size.
I went for... I think 215/40/17 and I've regretted it/ Wish I'd kept the 205's!
