Alloy Wheel Balancing

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a set of alloy wheels balanced prior to tyres??
If there is one thing that i hate the look of it weights showing on nice shiney alloy wheels.

I am looking to get the alloys balanced properly (if you can) prior to the tyres going on to reduce or irraticate the weights going on the rims.

Can someone help??

no chance mate the alloy without the tyre will be balanced any way from new near as dammit with the manufacturing/ machining process

the need for balancing comes when you stick a tyre on it and a valve in it

Agree. The only way it can be done is with the tyre on.

Damn ... was worth a shout ... for £179 a tyre the balance is crap then!!

They put sticky backed weights on the inside of the rims these days. You won't see them unless you make a point of looking for them.

If your tyre shops machine is any good they will be able to do a fine balance, also some tyres are more in balance/round than others, A Pirelli will require more weights than a Yoko. . .

Yeah i am thinking of ordering gray weights an getting them re-balanced.
